One of the blogs I have recently started following is Project Run and Play. They are doing a pattern remix challenge and I finally gathered the courage to participate. Jessica from Me Sew Crazy (another blog I recently started following) offered her pattern for her Spring Fever Dress as a pattern that we can remix or change up. I decided I wanted to make a little peplum top for my girls. One of my favorite tops in my own closet is a cream colored lacy peplum and I have always thought it would be cute for a little toddler. Anyways, here are some pictures of what I came up with. I widened the shoulders a bit and lengthened the bodice. I obviously only used one tier that was supposed to be the skirt and then just added the bias tape around the neckline. I am still so new to sewing so I am sure I am not using the proper vocab for all of this but I had a lot of fun making this and it actually turned out just how I envisioned in my head. I love following these blogs because all of their awesome tutorials have taught me so much about sewing!

Of course I had to take a ton of pictures because well, I’m a photographer and I love taking pictures and I love my new hobby sewing and I love my kids! :)
